The work of Yuko Kono easily fits this denomination: a recorder softly blowing, gracious chords reverberating from an acoustic guitar, a sublte voice providing counterpoint to notes played sparingly.

Originally from Tokyo, and currently living in Melbourne, Australia, Ms. Kono presents her collection of solo pieces. A chiaroscuro using voice, recorder & guitar. She is also known from her work with My Pal Foot Foot, one of the pillars of the Japanese underground music scene.
